Word Finder

Find words with the letters you have, use up to two blanks, and narrow the results with a position pattern.

Find words with your letters

Enter the complete set of letters available to you. MyToolMint returns only words that can be built without using a letter more times than it appears in your rack. Add ? for an unknown or blank tile.

Use a position pattern

A separate pattern fixes letters in known positions. For example, S??RE means a five-letter word beginning with S and ending in RE. The result must match both the pattern and the available rack letters.

How results are ranked

Longer words appear first, followed by higher tile values and alphabetical order. The small point total is a generic English tile score for comparing results; tap a result to copy it.

How blanks work

Each question mark can stand for one missing letter. MyToolMint supports up to two blanks and still enforces the number of ordinary letters in your rack, including duplicates.

Word Finder examples

  • RETAINS searches every word that can be made from those seven letters.
  • ST?RE allows one missing letter supplied by a blank.
  • RETAS? with the pattern S??RE requires the final result to fit those exact positions.

Other ways to search

Use the Word Unscrambler for advanced length, starts-with, ends-with and contains filters. Use the Five-Letter Word Finder when you know included or excluded letters but do not have a fixed rack. For exact rearrangements, try the Anagram Solver. Visit Word Tools to see the full cluster.

Frequently asked questions

Does the finder count duplicate letters?

Yes. A result cannot use a letter more times than it appears in your rack unless a question-mark blank supplies the additional letter.

Is the pattern optional?

Yes. Leave it empty to find words using only the letters and blanks in your rack.

Are these official competition words?

No. Results come from a broad general-English list. Check the dictionary required by your game or competition.
